Abhika secured a spot in the 2026 IPhO finals after being named the absolute winner at the 2025 National Physics Olympiad and passing a lengthy selection process. This selection process was conducted under the supervision of the Simetri Foundation beginning in December 2025. The selection began with a series of written exams accompanied by initial training, followed by a final selection round to form a team of five students. These five students received intensive training from experienced senior instructors. In preparation for the competition, the team previously competed in the Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) in Busan, where Abhika won a bronze medal, and ultimately went on to compete in the IPhO.

When contacted separately, Abhika expressed her gratitude for having competed and given her best for Indonesia. This year, the TOFI delegation was once again able to win a gold medal—the first since 2002, or 24 years ago. Abhika certainly hoped to win gold, but a minor incident during the experimental round prevented him from achieving an even higher result. Abhika hopes that TOFI will be able to maintain and even improve its performance in the future. He also urged students to develop a deeper love for physics in daily life. []
