Kesatuan Bangsa School

Saturday, 7 August 2021 – Kesatuan Bangsa School (KBS), one of the best schools in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, held an annual event that was a graduation of year 9 and 12. The ‘Virtual Graduation’ of the 8th generation of KBS was held online via zoom, due to the pandemic of COVID-19 restrictions, and it was also aired on KBS YouTube.

There were around 300 participants consisting of teachers and staff of KBS, students and parents of year 9 and 12, and some special guests. They were Mr. Suraji, the head of High School Education Board of Bantul, Mrs. Rindangsari Kurniawati, and the chairwoman of Kesatuan Bangsa Mandiri Foundation.
Singing the Indonesian anthem marked the opening of the graduation, then followed by words from Mr. Kursad Duvarci, the general manager of KBS. Mr. Duvarci congratulated the graduates warmly. He stated that he was so proud of the students of year 9 and 12 for all their hard work and achievements in their studies. He closed the brief speech by saying his gratitude that the students had finished high school very well.
After some words from the manager, it was the announcement of students’ achievements in national and international competitions. To close the graduation, Abdullah Ahmad Yusuf and Glady Sajidah Zahra were awarded respectively as the best graduates of junior & senior high school.
