The project, entitled BITES: Biscuits for Toddlers to Overcome Stunting was successfully awarded at that international event.

WYIE (World Young Inventors Exhibition) is part of the 33rd ITEX (International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition) program organized by MINDS (Malaysian Invention and Design Society). This program aims to encourage the creativity of young inventors by providing opportunities to participate in exhibitions and competitions for innovative works. This year, 62 teams from 12 countries around the globe participated in the competition, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Qatar, Germany, Kuwait, Oman, Hong Kong, and the United States.

Focusing on the Health and Biotechnology category, Kesatuan Bangsa team innovated to make biscuits with high protein and rich in other nutrients, using 3 kinds of flour, namely sorghum, gasol, and sagoo. Biscuits with these ingredients were tested organoleptically involving 30 respondents to produce biscuits that were nutritious, economical, and acceptable to toddlers. This is a form of student contribution to help overcome the stunting problem in Indonesia. This project is expected to be further developed and laboratory analysis carried out so that it can be mass produced and marketed to the wider community.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
